The last FO of 2009: Crocheted Scarf

Yesterday I started and finished the last project this year. I didn't have a spesific pattern, I just... Crocheted. Every row is made of a different colour, and the colours and the striping are designed by my dear husband :) I made this one for him. <3

Pattern: Improvised
Hook: 5 mm
Yarn: Leftover Novita 7 Veljestä
Consumption: 180 g

In the year 2009 I've knitted or crocheted 7385 g of yarn away from my stash. I haven't counted how much yarn I've bought, but the number is around... too many kilos.

My stash is now 23995 g, but I need to measure them again - it's been a while since I weighed them, and my scale wasn't one of the most accurate ones.

Thanks to all my readers, and a happy new year 2010!

Christmas...

..is coming fast, but this time: I'm on time! Socks for Mom, a hat for Granny and a scarf for my brother-in-law are ready, and mittens for sister M and socks for Dad and sister S are on needles. Jussi's felted mittens only need to be... felted. Yippee! I'm actually enjoying this. Normally I'm really stressed :D

Here's a couple of photos of them. :) I haven't got a photo of my Dad's sock, but, well... They're just basic socks, really. :) I've made two kettleholders too, for my friend. :)

FO: Palmikkosukat

I've finally finished something. I'm having a LITTLE hurry with my Xmas presents...

Pattern: Palmikkosukat by Novita (@Ravelry)
Needles: 3½ mm
Yarn: Novita 7 Veljestä
Consumption: 120 g

I've bought yarn, by the way. Novita Puro was only 2,70€/skein, so I bought. 6 of them. And, I found this nice brown yarn from Lidl (don't know if it's really good, but it was cheap) and I bought it too. 4 skeins 6,99€. That makes a total of 10 skeins à 50 g = 500 g.

And! Today my husband and I are going to Tampereen Kädentaitomessut (handicraft fair), yippee! I hope I won't buy too much yarn... I simply don't seem to have enough time to consume it! And Xmas... I have to knit to OTHERS before I can start to knit to myself again. Phew. It's hard to be a knitter... :D

Tuesday, October 27, 2009

Oh no

My ClusterMap! There's like 30 clursters there, there's something wrong! I don't like this...

I've been knitting, as usual. A vest for my husband will soon be finished. I'm also knitting a "pappatakki" for myself. Red Novita Isoveli and 6 mm needles = fast.

Yarrrrrrn

I bought only 3 skeins! So no panic.

teetee Pallas: I'm making a pair of socks for my Mom :)

Renia Hand-dye Effect: This clearly wants to become a scarf.

Mmm...

WIPs and a vacation

Phew. We have now our fall vacation, and I now have one week to rest... (=knit)

This one's a project that I started in summer, for Jussi. Yesterday I started to knit it again, let's see if I can finish it before I go to my parents' in Thursday...

SPOILER ALERT for TTL Mystery Sock '09 knitters...

I've also finished the clues 2 and 3:

But guess what irritates me, a lot. Remember the April Shrug I knitted, the green one? It was my own pattern, I found the lace pattern from a pattern book from the early 80's. And tadah, in Novita's newest issue there's almost exactly the same lace pattern. Sigh.

Coat!

I finished it.

Sad news

Our doggy, Retu, had to be put away yesterday. I really miss him... He was our first dog, and he lived with us for 9 years. Retu was 10 years old already, but it still hurts.
