FO: Snow White

Okay, it's not really as snow white as it should (since the yarn was white-blue!) but here it is. I ended up knitting a poncho, which is weird because I hate ponchos. :D

The pattern is my own, and I think I'll write it down some day...

Pattern: Snow White
Yarn: Novita Twist
Needles: 10 mm and 8 mm

FO: Spring Cap

Jussi wanted a cap for spring/summer, that wasn't too hot. Here it is. :) I'm amazed how little time it took to make this, because I had a super thin yarn and 3 mm needles!

Pattern: Improvized
Needles: 3 mm
Yarn: Zettl Sirmione
Consumption: 30 g

I started a shawl made of VERY thick yarn + 10 mm needles... Let's see what happens!

FO: Stripes

This one was a fast project too. I really didn't have a pattern, and it amazes me how well it fits. Allthough size S/M is a little baggy to be a slim model :P

Pattern: Improvized
Yarn: Novita Rose Mohair
Needles: 4½ mm
Consumption: 230 g

Yesterday I started yet another project. This one's a tunic :) I don't have a pattern for it, so let's hope it fits! :) I'm making stripes: grey-green-light green. Yummy!

a WIP for a change

I didn't know what to do next: I have the newest Moda, Novita and Suuri Käsityölehti, and I can't decide where to start. So, I picked up a cute pattern for mittens (again!), from a Moda published last year.. (51. in 6/2009)

I like the colour so much, and Novita Wool is soooo soft :)

FO: Kai-Mei

I decided to finish these before starting a new project. Wasn't that hard, was it? :)

Pattern: Kai-Mei by Cookie A./Sock Innovation (@ravelry)
Needles: 2½ mm
Yarn: Novita Nalle Marjaretki
Consumption: 85 g

FO: Lace Bolero

My newest FO is here! It didn't take long to knit this one. I picked a lace motif and combined it with a bolero and added a ribbing and shortened the sleeves. And I think it works :)

Yarn: Novita Nalle
Needles: 4 mm

It's been quiet here...

I've been busy looding weight, so I really haven't got time to knit..

But, today I finished this slipover. I really like the way it goes with the pink shirt underneath and the belt. Yummy. :)

WIP: 362 Blanket and some other stuff

So, the blanket's doing well. I've finished 36 blocks... only 326 to go...!

So, me and my husband got a great weekend. It's kinda sad that my life is now all about waiting. In Sunday evening, when he returns to Parolannummi, I start waiting Friday evening when he gets back. At least I've got plenty of time to knit.

There's been virtually no progress with my Kainuun kukkalapaset-mittens. I've started a mohair slipover (Moda 5/2009), and I've been knitting the blanket. The slipover doens't really look like a slipover now, so no photos. But here's the blanket:

Now, back to my needles.

Oh, and by the way: I didn't buy any yarn during January, wow!

FO: Cable Hoodie

Finally a FO! I've been knitting pretty big stuff, first a shawl and then a hoodie!

It could have been just a little bit longer, but it'll do. :)

Yarn: Novita 7 Veljestä
Needles: 4 mm and 4,5 mm

Busy

So, here I am now. Alone. My husband is in the army now, and we only see on weekends.. Kinda rough, I mean, I like being alone (=not with friends), but I love my husband and would like to be with him all the time.. He's going to serve one year there, so I guess I just have to get used to this...

I've been knitting, of course. The cable hoodie is doing fine: only 1,5 sleeves and the hood to go.

I've also started these Kainuun kukkalapaset. I'm not sure if I really like these colors. Maybe I'll give them to my sister, then...

The 362 Blanket is also doing good - I've already knitted 23 pieces, even though Jussi has been away "only" 17 days.

I'd like to knit something else... I have so much yarn, and I'd like to do some small projects that I could finish fast (before I get bored again). I do have 4 skeins of Puro, I could make a hat (again), or a shrug, or a scarf. Well see.

So, no FOs this time. Let's see if I can finish something for my next post :)

First FO of 2010!

I'm really proud of myself! I've managed to finis this one, the pattern is Spanish Armada. It took me only 8 days to finish it, wow! It looks a bit weird on this photo. That's because my blocking tressle was too small so I had to use our king size bed too...

Pattern: Spanish Armada by MMario
Yarn: Novita Nalle
Needles: 5 mm dpn's and circs
Consumption: 380 g
